Sash Window Repairs
Q. My sash windows tend to stick. Is there anything I can do?
A. This is one of the most commonly occurring problems with sashes that we come across. It can be attributed to a number of factors. but mostly we find it is due to excessive paint being applied over the years. A side effect of this is that your windows are not as energy efficient as they should be.
However, the solution can be relatively straight-forward. Our technicians will remove the sashes check the frames for debris and check the counter weights and cords. They will then remove the paint and treat the windows, before repainting them. Once the work is complete, they will reinstall the sashes and check that they are moving freely and smoothly.
